Value Analysis Committee (VAC) Tools to Support Facility Adoption of Cardiac Contractility Modulation (CCM™) Therapy

[Confidential Client]

Our client needed VAC tools to support the facility adoption of their Cardiac Contractility Modulation (CCM™) therapy for treatment of a highly specific subset of patients with chronic, moderate-to-severe heart failure. After reviewing the client’s body of evidence for their technology, peer-reviewed literature as it pertained to clinical and economic outcomes associated with the intended patient population, and relevant hospital cost data sources, TTi identified the client’s key value propositions to US healthcare facilities. TTi is now in the process of developing an Excel-based, budgetary impact model in accordance with the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) guidelines, to convey the client’s technology’s value in improving population health, improving the patient experience of care, and reducing per capita costs of care. The final VAC tool deliverable will reflect feedback from multiple healthcare facilities on the model structure, obtained via extensive web-based interviews with facility stakeholders, and will include reference values for all model variables; however, the facility user will be able to enter facility-specific information for key cost, effectiveness, and safety parameters to allow for a more informed-decision.
